HARVEY COUNTY, Kansas – A 53-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car late Thursday night.
The accident happened near Newton in Harvey County. Deputies believe Bradley Wendt, of Minnesota, was suffering from some sort of medical condition when he was walking along the side of the road in the 9300 block of S. Kansas at around 11 p.m.A car hit Wendt and he died at the scene.
The driver of the car was not injured. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
